Beni
A polite hound who waited at the same street corner and offered a paw to anyone who stopped.
A mail carrier noticed the same tan-and-white hound at the same corner for several routes. Beni would stand up, offer a paw, and wait as if he expected someone to claim him. After enough mornings, the carrier asked the rescue to pick him up.
He is a well-built boy who already knows how to ask for contact without crowding. He is ready for a neighborhood home that will put a collar on him for good and let him keep that polite greeting.
