Penny
Left behind in a Palmdale, California shelter after her owner was taken away. She is now safe in her forever home.
The heavy metal doors of the shelter in Palmdale, California, carried a lot of noise and uncertainty. Inside a quiet enclosure, a sweet white-and-brown dog named Penny sat waiting. Her world turned over when she saw her owner arrested and taken away. Her owner was later released, but Penny was left in the kennel, watching for someone who was not coming back.
Fear and confusion stayed with her for a long time. The story did not end in that concrete room. The team at Leona’s Brave Haven refused to give up on her, and she was safely rescued from the shelter.
Today the sorrow of that beginning is behind her. Penny is surrounded by love, comfort, and safety, living her best life in her forever home.
